SUMMARY:Fe y Familia: Faith as a Foundation
DESCRIPTION:Faith is woven into the fabric of las familias latinas in ways that go far deeper than Sunday attendance or religious affiliation. Across la comunidad latina\, families turn to faith and spirituality to make meaning\, endure hardship\, and hold their communities together\, yet at a moment when society as a whole is drifting away from organized religion\, many families are quietly wrestling with what to hold onto and what to pass on. Spirituality in las culturas latinas looks many ways and traditions have shifted across generations: it lives in the promesas made during a health scare\, the healer visit quietly alongside the doctor\, the sacred image hung above the front door\, and the prayers whispered over a child before school.

SUMMARY:Create Together
DESCRIPTION:This is a monthly group that is meant to inspire creativity. It isn’t like a class where you turn in assignments. Participants get out of it what they are able to put in. The class will meet\, we will say “Hello”\, depending on the size we might mention what we are going to create or work on\, then we will spend 40 minutes or so working. Participants can have their cameras on or off. In the last 15-20 minutes we can share what we’ve done or not. There’s no right or wrong. This is all very person-centered and focused on respecting the individual needs of all participants. Participants just need a connection to the internet and a way to log into Zoom. Also\, have available whatever tools (pens\, pencils\, markers\, video camera\, tablet\, etc) you use to be creative. For example\, I am a writer and filmmaker. I will most likely be typing the whole time\, but will obviously answer questions\, as much as I am able\, during our CREATE TOGETHER meeting.

SUMMARY:Dime Con Quien Andas: Solidarity in Community\, Advocacy\, and Collective Power
DESCRIPTION:Las familias latinas have a long tradition of community care and what it means to show up for each other. From neighborhood networks to promotoras to kitchen table conversations\, community care has always been an essential value of la vida latina. Today\, that tradition is being called on in new ways — and families are answering. \nThis episode celebrates that spirit while exploring how everyday acts of care are connected to something larger: civic life\, advocacy\, and the shaping of a future that reflects our values and our voices. In this episode\, we will explore legacy\, leadership\, and the quiet power of families who refuse to sit on the sidelines.
