When grandparents or other relatives need care, we make room — in our homes, in our schedules, in our hearts. It is an act of love. It is also an act of profound sacrifice that doesn’t get talked about nearly enough. Many padres latinos today are living in the middle of two generations at once, raising their children while also caring for aging relatives, often without institutional support, often without a roadmap, and often without anyone asking how they are doing.
