Medi-Cal Basics

Medi-Cal is California’s Medicaid program that provides free or low-cost health coverage to low-income individuals and families, including children, seniors, and people with disabilities. In 2026, there are changes to Medi-Cal enrollment and eligibility changes for people without Satisfactory Immigration Status (SIS).
